Walk With Us
Join Us on a Pilgrimage for Peace: A Unique Opportunity to Be Part of a Groundbreaking Project!
We are calling for passionate individuals to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime journey, walking with us from Land's End in Cornwall to the Norfolk Coast as part of an extraordinary pilgrimage and performance project. This is a chance to be part of something truly special, blending folk theatre, community engagement, and spiritual reflection.
About the Project: This project merges traditional mummers’ theatre with the reflective power of pilgrimage, offering a space to explore important themes of peace, tolerance, and collective responsibility. Together, we’ll walk across stunning landscapes, perform a folk play, and engage with communities along the way about the issues that matter most today.
Why Take Part?
Walk with Purpose: Experience the transformative power of walking, storytelling, and community.
Performance and Pilgrimage: Be part of an ensemble cast, performing a unique folk play in each community we visit.
Learn and Grow: Receive professional training in ensemble theatre, build new skills, and make meaningful connections.
Make a Difference: Engage with local communities and audiences, creating lasting conversations about peace and togetherness.
Who We Are Looking For:
Participants: We’re looking for 7 pilgrims to join us on this transformative journey. Whether you have acting experience or are new to performance, if you are passionate about storytelling and community, we want you!
Enthusiasts of Peace and Folklore: This project draws on traditional folklore and seeks to explore it in a contemporary context. If you are passionate about cultural heritage, peacebuilding, and the power of shared experiences, this pilgrimage is for you.
What’s Included:
Training: You’ll receive professional direction in creating and performing a folk play.
Support: We’ll provide full support for your journey, including advice and training on pilgrimage gear, kit, and safety provisions.
Performance: Share your journey with others through live performances, video documentation, and more!
How to Apply: If you are ready to take the first step, we’d love to hear from you. To apply or find out more, please reach out to us via jolie@kriyaarts.co.uk. We’ll be in touch with details about how you can get involved.
